Knitting Supplies

Knit In Markers finally available again!

These wonderful little flexible bands are an absolute favorite with many knitters.  For a long time they have been unavailable, but my daughter Nancy has managed to source them.

100 markers in a secure easy to handle container for just $6 (free shipping if ordered alone!).

A great little gift for your knitting friends.

The good folks at ChiaoGoo have a new product called "Twist" interchangeable. These are a big improvement over anything else like it on the market.

The small set comes with tips sizes 2 through 8. The large set comes with tips of 9 through 15. The tips are 5" and the cables make 24", 32" and 40" circular needles. They come with a few goodies like a gauge and st markers. 4" points and other cables are available.

Well, how are they, you ask. I find they have:  impeccable joins, good points, are easy to put together, and they have the most delightful little case.  $90 a set    Expensive, but you and your work are worth the best tools.

The Chiao Goo needles have perfect joins, good points and good flexibility.  Your knitting moves quickly!  Plus they are less expensive than all of the other quality needle choices!

The ChiaoGoo needles have a new line just for lace. I was a bit skeptical—their regular Red Line needles are wonderful. But using these new Red Lace needles has convinced me. The points are more tapered and they have straightened the ends. The joins are still perfect and the cables are just as flexible.

They tell me they will still carry the Red Line needles for those that like the shorter points and the bend in the handles.

I carry most lengths in sizes O to 7, including 1.5. Please be sure to tell me which you want—Red Line or Red Lace.

Red Line $7.50 each.
Red Lace $8.50 each.

Mary Frances Lace Knitting Finishing Needles Mary Frances designed these needles especially for lace knitters. You get five needles.  No more hunting through everything to find a needle! There is a #20 blunt straight needle and a #18 blunt straight. These will take care of anything you would use a tapestry needle for. I reach for one of these to graft stitches or for a quick fix. The #20 and #18 blunt bent tips are my favorites. I don't know how I would do without them for working in the ends in a neat, invisible way. The bent tip makes it possible to go under just the one elusive stitch that you have your eye on. Of course, sometimes one needs a sharp point and that is here also, in a number 20. Everything you could want in a finishing needle.  (pictured with tube that is no longer included)  $4
Lace Needles:  8" long, steel, in sizes 0, 2(0), 3(0), 4(0), 5(0) $10 for Five needles of one size.
Lace Knitting Needle Gauge:  This beautiful brass gauge will measure from size 2mm down to .5mm. That's 0 down to 8(0). They were designed by Karen Sclufer and are sold exclusively by MOONRISE. They make great gifts! . . . . . . $15
Dixie Eberly makes the cleverest row counters. You clip it on your knitting bag or put the ring on your needle. As you finish a row you move the number up the cord. When you have done row 10, you move them all down and move the 1 of the second strip up. Just a glance at the counter tells you what row you have finished 1 to 100. Just $10 with free shipping.
Linen hankercheif and linen hand towels - ready for your applied lace knitted edging!  Turn your work into a lovely and practical gift!  $7 each.
Light Shawl Closures

Light-as-air, no stick or pin, fine jewelry quality closures made by Bitsy Cohen. Each end is bent so that it holds itself in place. What could be easier? Two designs, each available in silver plate for $18 or sterling silver for $24

Shawl Pins

Available in two sizes, the "large" is 3 - 4 inches across, "small" is about 2" across. The designs are all similar to those pictured, so let me choose for you.  Specify nickel or brass. Large $15 and small is $12.
