THREE IS THE MAGIC NUMBER SHAWL KIT Inspired by the School House Rock song!
Choose from nine triangular patterns that can be arranged to make a shawl
(9 triangles for a small shawl or 12 for a large shawl), a scarf (6 or 8
triangles), or a stole (12 triangles). The patterns are originals or
adaptations mostly of lace grounds, so it could be considered a lesson in
lace grounds. Offered in two choices of yarn. The first is a blend of
Alpaca and Silk, a 7 oz skein in natural is enough to make a couple of
garments. The second is Fine Merino Lace, 100% merino wool made in Italy 2
100 gram skeins in your choice of soft gray, teal, lavendar or white. $55

SEASCAPE KIT Using the Seascape pattern by Evelyn Clark with an out of production yarn from Jaggerspun. The yarn is 70% superwash and 30% alpaca in a color called "ocean blue". The kit is $25. |

THE GREAT COSMOS KIT this one is constructed from the center out with a nice wide edging. Done with any of the wonderful colors of wool/silk. That, and the thicker yarn (needle size 5), yields a 50" shawl that starts with a "larger than circular" center, then squares out and finally has rounded corners. When folded it makes a butterfly shape that sits beautifully on your shoulders.
